I was savoring my last few minutes of being a kid, when suddenly it was midnight. It's now my birthday, and I'm officially eighteen. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. You have your whole life ahead of you, yet at the same time you can't help but looking back and remembering life. I honestly can't believe its been eighteen years, it doesn't even seem that long. Funny how fast life goes by. I am so blessed. So blessed to have such an amazing family, incredible friends, a job that I love, and I'm able to go to college. All too often we think that we have forever to live, but we don't. As I begin this new chapter in my life, my prayer is that I will live each day to the fullest. Not to get as much fun out of everyday as possible, but to live each and every day to the glory of my Lord and Savior. I would be nothing without Him. I've learned a lot in my life, but there's still so much I don't know. I can't help but think of the Taylor Swift song Never Grow Up (listening to it right now actually). When I was little I couldn't wait to grow up, but now that I'm older I can't help but think to myself, "Wait, I don't want to grow up yet. I want to be a kid again. I'm not ready." But that's the thing, though we don't think we're ready, it's really something we learn as we go. We just have to tackle it day by day. I'm really looking forward to these next years, and seeing what all God has planned for my life (:

More Tennis
I love finishing a really really good book. Yet at the same time I always feel sad like, "Oh, its over...... I don't want it to end! But I also can't stop reading it. *Sigh* Such is the problem of avid book readers everywhere. As I've mentioned, I am thoroughly enjoying the Prince of Tennis series. It's just so good! The sad thing is that I've come to the end.....not the end entirely but like the rest of the series hasn't been published yet. I want to read more!!! So I've resigned myself to watching the entire series all over again while I wait. And I must say it's raised my already high hopes of tennis, but has completely dashed my interest in American tennis. In the series they can all jump insanely high, the courts seem to be miles wide (because of the constant running), not only that but they actually have time to think about what to do next before the ball even hits their side of the court. Like I mentioned, I now have very unrealistic ideas about how tennis should be played. Not gonna lie though, I think I need to fly over to Japan and learn how they play tennis. Hmmmm....now if only flights weren't so expensive......

Sunday Afternoons
Ahhhhh such a wonderful day. My grandpa is in town for the week! So today after church we all went out to lunch together at Red Lobster. It was my first time eating there. I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, which makes me the odd one out in my family but oh well. I did enjoy a delicious maple-glazed salmon with a side of fresh broccoli, and a small salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Mmmmmm tasty. Today was cloudy and bit chilly, so I threw on jeans and my favorite sweatshirt, made myself a cup of hot cocoa, grabbed a handful of candy corn, and curled up on my bed to finish writing a paper for class. To top it all off, my homework "soundtrack" was my Parachute station on Pandora. Definitely a favorite. And, to make a great day even better, my mom whipped up a batch of homemade chex mix with my little sister and I. Yum! So while finishing up my paper, I came across some fun things on the web that I would absolutely love to have ^_^
These sweats would be AMAZING for my morning classes
Cute, comfy, and cheap: I want the grey one
Fall in a cup
If ever I become rich, this is the kind of room I want
At first glance I wasn't sure, but it's decided. I would love to have a dress like that

College and Cold Hands
I have mixed emotions when it comes to having a test in class. Part of me dreads it, and wishes I had studied every single second I could (even if I did study for a good bit). While the other part of me loves it, because I know that when we have a test we'll get out early. And I'm a huge fan of getting out of class early. Especially on Thursdays, because then I'm done for the day. So today, I came home early and fixed my self a big mugful of coffee. It tastes divine. I put all sorts of delicious things. Creamer, sugar, vanilla syrup, and heavy whipping cream. Needless to say, it's a fattening, yet tasty treat. I have a fat white and green mug that I just love to hold, because if fits perfectly and keeps my hands warm. For some reason my hands are always cold......I'm thinking I should get those gloves. We had a huge change in weather here, it went from 80 to 60 in a little over a day. Brrrr. Guess I'd better switch out my summer stuff for my fall wardrobe now!

Fall Time
I need someone to tell me to go to bed......otherwise I'm up all hours of the night doing the most randomest things. Honestly, there's just too much to do! Not to mention I'm such a night owl. Late night is when I feel most productive, yet at the same time I just want to sleep. Hmmmmmm, this could be problematic. On a more cheerful tone, I do believe that fall has begun to arrive! The rest of the week is looking like it'll be in the low 70s. I just love fall weather. The air is always so cool, crisp, and clean. I'm looking forward to sweaters, bonfires, cider, clear starry nights, crunching leaves, and the smell of apple peels. Can't you just taste it?? Also, I've fallen head over heels in love with the band Parachute. I've always liked them, but over Labor Day weekend I "rediscovered" them. I've bought like every single one of their songs, and it's my absolutely favorite playlist. As fall comes closer and closer, I've really been wanting some brown boots....Aren't these just great??

Never Forget
Ten years ago today thousands, if not millions, of Americans watched on live TV as the Twin Towers smoldered right before their eyes. We watched as the horror unfolded at the sight of the first tower. Then came the second plane hurtling through the air and right into the second tower right in front of us. Today we remember all who gave their lives that day. Whether they had just been going to work that day, or whether they were the firefighters and policemen who sacrificed their lives in trying to rescue others. I hope we will always remember what happened that day. For even though it was a horrific nightmare, it brought us together as a nation. So much happened in that hour and a half. I can tell you exactly where I was that day. I remember watching as the towers collapsed, killing hundreds of people. And I was afraid. If they were in New York, maybe they would keep moving and attack our home as well. I remember praying, "Oh Lord, please be with our President. Please be with the families who lost loved ones today. Please comfort them." It's a day I will never forget. May we remember those in the first two planes, as well as Flight 77, and the brave passengers on Flight 93, who gave up their lives to keep the terrorists from striking their next target. May we never forget their courage.

Romantic Daydreams
Some days I dream about meeting a blonde-haired, brown-eyed boy who always knows how to cheer me up, and will take me places and we'll have so many exciting adventures. We'll plan trips and do all sorts of things. But on the other days, I dream of meeting a tall, dark, handsome stranger. You know, the strong, silent type. (Those are my favorite). Before I know it I'll have fallen for him. He'll be the one who can see through my mask, and always knows when I'm lying. We won't plan, but go on spontaneous road trips. We would go stargazing in the middle of the night, and he would come up and hug me from behind. He won't be perfect. Which is a good thing, because I am so far from perfect. But he'll be the perfect one for me. Maybe he'll have a deep dark secret, or a sad story to tell. But I love him. It must be a girl thing to think about stuff like this. But sometimes I wonder if someone would ever fall in love with me. I'm not terribly outgoing, and I'm usually really quiet. I don't mean to be quiet, it kind of just happens. I have a lot of things I want to say, but I don't know who to tell them to. In the meantime, I'm glad I have you all to listen to me ramble on about my nonsensical thoughts. Thank you for listening to all my nonsense (:
A little love song

Weekend Fun
A very happy labor day weekend to everyone! Any exciting plans for the weekend?? So far it's been a wonderful day. My family and I drove out to stay with my cousins over the weekend, and they just so happen to live by a lake! *Happiness* So after a lovely morning of warm cinnamon rolls and hot coffee, we went off to enjoy the lake. Unfortunately it started raining about five minutes after we'd gotten in. But we braved the weather and had a bunch of fun swimming in the rain. After that it was time for long hot showers and more hot coffee. Then we snuggled up on the couch with lots of blankets and proceeded to snack and watch a movie or two. Before long it was time for a magnificent steak dinner. Mmmmmmmm. I'm definitely a meat and potatoes kind of girl! Now I think its time to hit the hay (under more snuggly blankets) and rest up for the rest of the weekend. Goodnight to all!

Cooler Temps and Great Music
Happy September everyone! I got to wear my new sweater to work today! It is the softest, comfiest charcoal gray sweater I have ever worn. I'm still amazed that it was cool enough this morning to wear one....but then again it is a little chilly at work. Oh well(: I'm so ready for fall. We've got a three-day weekend coming up (in case y'all forgot) but before I can enjoy that factor I have to make it though a test in algebra class tomorrow. Fun stuff. But once it's over I have no more classes for the weekend!
Two yuck moments I wanted share with everyone:
1)A rather hairy man driving his convertible with the top down and no shirt on. Yikes.
2)Killed a spider only to see hundreds of baby spiders flee in all directions. *Shudder* I really wish they would stay out of my bathroom....
Also! New favorite song! It's the new one by He Is We that also happens to feature (my favorite) Owl City. I'm always looking for new music to listen to, so please feel free to share your favorite song! I would greatly appreciate it (:
