I have such a wonderful family and wonderful friends. What a great birthday! We kicked off the day with sleeping in a little (always a plus). It makes me so glad not to have any classes on Friday. So for breakfast my dad made waffles (my favorite!) and we had them with sausage and fresh strawberries. Mmmmmm tasty. After lingering over the breakfast table I got to finally enjoy a long, long hot shower and several cups of coffee that morning. I was also owned by my little brother in Mario Kart (: but we had a grand time. I had to work that afternoon so we had an early lunch at Pizza Hut and then off to work I went! I had thought that my two best friends were going to come over for dinner, and then stay the night, but during work I got a text from my mom saying that they weren't going to be able to come, but that they would be able to come spend all day Saturday with me. Not going to lie, that was incredibly disappointing. I had been looking forward to seeing them all day. But I faked a smile and said "Oh that's okay, I least I'll see them tomorrow." I knew we would have a great time with just the family for dinner, but I couldn't help thinking "Well, it's my eighteenth birthday, I feel like we should do something out of the ordinary..." My sister picked me up and we ran some errands before we finally came home for dinner. I went downstairs to put my stuff away, and lo and behold, I open my door only to find my sister and three best friends as they yell "Happy Birthday!' I was so surprised I even jumped backwards only to find another of my really good friends who had come from college standing behind me. I honestly started to cry. I was just so happy to have them all there with me! I am so blessed. It was a really, really great surprise party. After dinner, another of my friends came over. Like I said, I have a wonderful family, and wonderful friends. It was an incredibly amazing birthday(:
